Patient/Provider Philosophy
My primary goal as a non-operative sports medicine physician is to get patients back to the activities they love. While this sometimes requires surgery, there are an increasing number of non-surgical options for both acute and chronic conditions and injuries that can accomplish this goal. I have a special interest in using musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. I spent 8 years as active duty military for the US Navy, and have extensive experience with overuse conditions including bone stress injuries, tendinopathies, and nerve entrapments. I also stay up to date on the most evidence-based approaches for concussions and traumatic brain injuries.
Why Physicians' Clinic of Iowa?
PCI provides an exceptional model for patient-centered care. From the doctors and nurses to the office space and support staff, they strive to improve the patient experience. My time in the US Navy brought me to both coasts, but growing up in Iowa, I learned to value hard work, humility, and compassion for others. Iowans exhibit these values in everything they do, so I am excited to be back in Iowa to offer my services to Cedar Rapids and the surrounding communities.
Personal Interests
I enjoy hiking, golf, cycling, and football.
