Patient/Provider Philosophy

My care philosophy is rooted in patient-centered and trauma-informed principles. I recognize that
urologic conditions can significantly impact a person's quality of life and often involve sensitive, personal
concerns. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where every patient feels
heard, validated, and actively involved in their care decisions.

I approach each client holistically, considering not only their physical symptoms but also their emotional,
psychological, and social well-being. By applying trauma-informed care practices, I remain mindful of
past experiences that may influence how patients engage with healthcare, ensuring that interactions
foster trust, choice, empowerment, and collaboration.

Through empathetic communication, education, and shared decision-making, I support patients in
understanding their diagnoses and treatment options, always respecting their autonomy and values. My
goal is to deliver evidence-based urologic care that honors each person's lived experience while
promoting dignity, healing, and long-term wellness.

Why Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa?

I chose Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa because of its exceptional reputation for delivering high-quality,
patient-centered specialty care; particularly in the field of urology. PCI’s urology department is known
for its clinical excellence, advanced treatment options, and commitment to compassionate,
individualized care. As someone passionate about providing trauma-informed, holistic care, I was drawn
to PCI’s emphasis on treating the whole person while fostering trust and collaboration. The
organization’s independent, physician-led model supports innovation and professional growth, making it an ideal environment to contribute meaningfully to a strong, multidisciplinary team.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family; whether that’s getting together for a
meal, watching a game, or just catching up. I enjoy supporting local sports teams and finding time to be
creative. I especially like crocheting, sewing, and pretty much any DIY project I can get my hands on.
Crafting is something that helps me relax and feel productive at the same time. I try to make time for
the people and things that bring me joy and help me stay grounded.
