Overview

Get pain relief without surgery or narcotic medications. Our board-certified physicians work with you to minimize dependence on pain medications, improve quality of life, improve function, and improve pain coping skills, so you can get back to your normal daily activities.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians, also known as Physiatrists, diagnose and treat patients of all ages in three main areas.

  • Physical Medicine includes sports and occupational injuries, musculoskeletal injuries such as back pain, chronic degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, and pain syndromes that affect function.
  • Rehabilitation Medicine focuses on the chronic effects of stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, and cancer that include spasticity, fatigue, immobility, pain, lymphedema, neuropathy, and bowel or bladder management to enhance function and quality of life.
  • Electrodiagnostic Medicine focuses on the diagnosis of peripheral nerve injuries such as nerve entrapment, plexopathy, radiculopathy, and traumatic injury.

The treatment involves the entire person and addresses the physical, social, psychosocial, and emotional needs to optimize the patient’s function.
