PCI Announces Partnership with Rock Valley Physical Therapy
Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa (PCI) Orthopedics is pleased to announce a partnership with Rock Valley Physical Therapy beginning January 1, 2020. Under the agreement, Rock Valley will manage physical and occupational therapy services provided at PCI Medical Pavilion, 202 10th Street SE, in Cedar Rapids. The new venture will be called “PCI Physical Therapy powered by Rock Valley.”
“We have been proud to offer on-site physical and occupational therapy at the PCI Pavilion since 1997,” said Mike Sundall, CEO of PCI. “The partnership with Rock Valley allows us to continue enhancing the quality care for our patients with the addition of a team focused on therapy expertise.”
Rock Valley, which began in 1984, is a therapist-owned organization with 46 locations serving communities in central and eastern Iowa and western Illinois. Rock Valley currently has Linn County locations at 29th Street NE in Cedar Rapids and 35th Street in Marion, which will remain open for business.

Long-time Cedar Rapids physical therapist Kevin Lux, formerly of Linn County Physical Therapy, will help connect therapists, physicians, and patients in the new venture. “It is really an opportunity to learn from each other and continue improving. Our philosophy has been to put patients first and invest in developing a great staff so patients have a great experience,” Lux said.
The clinic is expected to treat not only post-operative patients but a variety of orthopedic conditions such as shoulder, knee, and back pain. The physical and occupational therapists will specialize in hands-on, one-on-one care with patients.
PCI and Rock Valley launched a similar agreement earlier this year in conjunction with PCI’s Ear, Nose, and Throat/Head & Neck Surgery Clinic. The PCI Vestibular Therapy clinic focuses on caring for patients with balance disorders, dizziness, and vertigo.
