CEDAR RAPIDS—June 24, 201— Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa (PCI), a multidisciplinary medical specialty group, announced that Heidi Kirsch, RN has recently joined the organization in the newly created position of Quality & Performance Improvement Officer.  In addition, two members of the administrative team have been promoted to senior management. 

As Quality & Performance Improvement Officer, Kirsch will oversee the areas of compliance, credentialing, accreditation, satisfaction, outcomes, and risk management. Kirsch had spent the last 15 years with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, where she was most recently employed as an analyst in Health Information Management.  She was responsible for a variety of process improvement activities and led a multi-disciplinary team at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.  Kirsch is experienced in working collaboratively with physicians, nurses and support staff to increase efficiencies, decrease costs and reduce variability in work processes.

Eric Dalton, previously Director of Business Services, is now the Senior Director of Administrative Services.  In this role, he will be responsible for oversight of the business office, purchasing, contracting, information services and Medical Group Solutions, LLC.  Dalton is a CPA, has earned an MBA, and recently received board certification from the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) as a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE.)

Angie Kuhn, previously Director of Group Development, is now the Senior Director of Group Practice Operations.  In this role, she will be responsible for oversight of all clinical practice directors, electronic medical records, lab and all aspects of PCI's clinical operations.  She also serves as the in-house project manager for the Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Medical Pavilion.  Kuhn has worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years and is dedicated to improving the patient experience each and every day.
