Community’s first private, for-profit investment since the flood of 2008 will put patients at the center of specialty care.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (April 19, 2011) – Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Medical Pavilion is the name selected for the $47-million investment in patient-centered specialty medicine by one of Iowa’s largest, private, multispecialty medical groups. The name announcement comes as Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa prepares to break ground on the new facility May 19.

The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Medical Pavilion, at 202 10th St. SE next to I-380 in Cedar Rapids’ proposed medical district, will be a single-stop specialty care destination – a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility that brings coordinated services together under one roof and creates an environment for collaboration that delivers better care and faster service.

The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Medical Pavilion is the first private, for-profit investment in downtown Cedar Rapids since the flood of 2008. Sundall pointed to the $16.2 million in construction employment and $100 million annual economic impact from the anticipated 2,500 daily patients and visitors as reasons for Cedar Rapids to take pride in the development.
