The 100 Great Iowa Nurses program recognizes outstanding nurses whose exceptional contributions to patients, colleagues and the profession are truely remarkable.  Melissa Fagan, of PCI Orthopaedics, has been chosen to receive this prestigious designation. 

This year's 100 Great Iowa Nurses Celebration will be held Sunday May 2nd at the Iowa Events Center/Polk County Convention Complex in downtown Des Moines at 3:00pm.  For information check the website of www.greatnurses.org or call (319)355-7003.

470 nominations were collected this year from colleagues, patients and others. Nominations were first evaluated by 21 reviews around the state. Final selection was determined by representatives of the Iowa Hospital Association, Iowa Nurses Association, Iowa Nurses Foundation and the University of Iowa College of Nursing.
