Beginning with a US House of Representatives resolution in 1958, March 30th of every year is noted as a time to thank doctors for their hard work and dedication known as National Doctor's Day.  For the first time ever Linn County Medical Society is celebrating this event.

The Linn County Medical Society asked the general public to nominate a physician who they think should be recognized.  Reasons for nomination may include a commitment to the profession, dedication to patients, staff and family, and/or involvement in the community.  A panel of independent judges selected ten of the best nominations.  Congratulations, was sent to Drs. Ghosh, Krivit and Loth of PCI as they were selected!

On behalf of the LCMS Board of Directors they will be presented with a Doctor's Day Award.  They are invited to a reception in honor of the ten award recipients in downtown Cedar Rapids on March 30th at Zin's at 6:00pm.  Mayor Ron Corbett will read a proclamation, and they will be formally recognized.  KGAN News Channel 2 will be announcing the ten winners in the days leading up to the event.
