The physicians and staff at Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, P.C. are pleased to announce that Mir Wasif Ali, M.D. is joining the Department of Surgical Specialists located at 830 Fourth Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403 on February 2010.

Dr. Ali graduated from the University of California, San Diego in l997 with a Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry and Cell Biology degree. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego in 2001. Dr. Ali’s General Surgery Residency was also performed at the University of California, San Diego, in 2007. Dr. Ali completed his Thoracic and Cardiothoracic Residency in June, 2009 at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also completed an Advanced Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan which he completed in December, 2009.

Dr. Ali’s areas of interest are Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery.
